As soon as things start to bud and grow outside the nesting instinct kicks in for me every year. The past three months our apartment underwent renovations. Even though the contractors were lovely and considerate (for instance, they bought me tea on a day when I was home sick from work), it's really hard to live in a place that is a mess zone. They finally finished about a week ago and I've slowly been deep cleaning, painting, rearranging and all around primping our little apartment.
The best part of our new apartment reno is that we have access to the attic above our apartment. It's a bit rough around the edges but I finally have a dedicated works space!! We've only had it for a week but the having a physical space where work lives separate from the rest of the house is already making my life so much better. I'm busy right now sewing some new Falconwright things for the spring edition of
City of Craft- hope to see you there :)
